The story so far

The first Pursat River Run was organised in November 2007 by an expatriate runner living in Pursat, in response to a lack of organised long-distance road-races in Cambodia. So successful was the event that it has been held every year since. It has grown from 286 runners in its inaugural year to 803 in 2010, making it Cambodia’s second largest road-race, after the Angkor International Marathon in Siem Reap. Taking place about a month before the Angkor Marathon, the Pursat River Run is an ideal training event for runners planning to tackle the longer race.
